Church of San Floriano

Completely surrounded by woods, Raveo does not have historical records before the 14th century. The area was the site of settlements right from the pre-Roman era, as the recent archaeological excavations on Mount Sorantri have demonstrated, showing the existence of a Celtic village. Part of the Park of the Carnic Hills, it has a network of paths that touch naturalistic and historical places. Raveo has numerous artisanal workshops and is known for its typical biscuits. Built on the design of the architect Domenico Schiavi, the church of San Floriano preserves paintings by local painter Antonio Taddio and the Filipponi brothers from Udine, as well as finely crafted, 18th-century wooden statues.
