The hub of the classical movement is Vienna, a city where Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven worked, the three greatest figures of the classical era, whose crowning glory is the "atypical” Schubert. An ensemble of musicians with an impressive resume, in which the violin of Gabriele Pieranunzi stands out, will offer us the wonderful, if incomplete, trio by Schubert, with clear references to the music of Mozart and Haydn, and the very well-known septet, Beethoven's ingenious idea for a larger formation rarely heard.
Parish Church of Santa Maria di Gorto
Situated on a rocky spur is the parish church of Santa Maria di Gorto, one of the oldest buildings of Friuli. The church is mentioned in documents in 1136 and 1299, but its origins would seem to be even older. This was demonstrated by the discovery of sculptural elements that can be attributed to a religious site dating back to the 8th century. The parish church stands as a basilica with three aisles and preserves valuable and rare relics like the frescoes of the 12th-13th century, depicting the Gospel parable of the ten virgins. A short distance from the parish church is the environmental tourist complex of Aplis, with the Museum of Wood and the Venetian Sawmill, a wildlife exhibition, a hotel and a restaurant, the perfect refreshment spot.
