With this concert, we will celebrate 150 years since the birth of Rachmaninoff, a pianist and composer who marked a musical period, thanks to two very talented sisters educated, from early childhood, at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Here they admirably refined the piano duo formation, winning some of the most important competitions in the world.
The titles of the movements of Suite no. 1 are inspired by the verses of Romantic poets. The theme of love in the first two movements animates the music with a colourful, impassioned composition. The third is inspired by the cathedral bells, while the fourth movement captures the echo of the rejoicing sound of the Easter carillon. The second is a virtuosic orchestral suite.

Paluzza is a well-known holiday resort, with cross-country skiing trails; it is also perfect for hiking and other sports in the summer. The paths unwind both in open grassy zones and dense fir woods of evocative beauty. Upstream of the town, a defensive system called Castrum Muscardum formerly rose up there. Today, only the Moscarda tower remains, which was built about halfway through the 13th century. It is now the home of exhibitions linked to the region, which spread across three rooms, arranged vertically and connected by an internal staircase.
