This concert begins the tribute to Spain and its wonderful artists. The leader of this Spanish ensemble is Arimany, an excellent flautist of whom the great Rampal said, "Claudi Arimany is, in my opinion, one of the greatest flautists of his generation. He is one of those virtuosos who put technique, sound, and the colour of the phrase at the service of musicality and sensitivity." In this occasion he will musically dialogue with two important musicians, giving us a taste of the flexibility, virtuosity, and sing-ability of the flute thanks to wonderful transcriptions and some original pieces from the Romantic period for this particular ensemble. Special mention goes to Böhm, a German inventor and virtuoso musician credited with developing the valve system and significant improvements to the modern transverse flute, demonstrating that it is possible to better "imitate" the human voice.

Church of Santa Giuliana

Built in the 15th century, the church of Santa Giuliana in Fresis hosts a wonderful, complex cycle of frescoes in the old choir, the work of Giulio Urbanis (1588) from San Daniele. Fathers and doctors of the church, prophets and evangelists are depicted in the vault, while the walls display the doctrine of the apostles, sacred scenes and figures of saints. The main altar dates back to 1624 and is made of engraved, painted, and gilded wood. Saint John the Baptist, the Madonna and Child, and Saint Juliana are painted in the three niches.
