Ovaro, one of Carnia’s jewels, is located along the broad and sunny Degano river valley. The municipality stands at 525 m ASL in a valley between massive mountain ranges, like Col Gentile (2,076 m) and Mount Arvenis (1,968 m), while Mount Volaia (2,453 m) dominates the valley far in the north. The main church is the church of the Santissima Trinità, built around halfway through the 19th century.
