Located at the centre of Enemonzo, the small church dedicated to Our Lady of Consolation was subject, over the centuries, to various architectural retouches until achieving its current appearance. The interior houses the precious main altar of the 17th century made of engraved and gilded wood, the work of Giovanni Vincenzo Comuzzo. In the lower part of the altar, the frontal of engraved wood, also by Comuzzo, is worth mentioning. This place of worship crowns other churches spread throughout the area, typical of the Carnia Alpine arc. Some of the most notable include the parish church of Santi Ilario e Taziano, the church of San Giorgio in Colza, the church of San Nicolò in Maiaso, where the “Pagans cave” is also located, and the church of Santa Giuliana in Fresis.
