The oldest findings that testify to the presence of humans may be some flint objects of the Middle Paleolithic era that appeared between Lanza and Valdolce, and others, of the same era, that were unearthed in Valbertad. The excavations in Misincinis represent a moment of documented history, richer in information regarding pre-Roman settlements.
