The Orchestra of our region together with two important protagonists of the international concert scene pay tribute to the eternal genius of Mozart. The Concerto in C major is a synthesis of pre-classical grandeur and intimate 18th-century sensitivity. In terms of orchestral magnificence, symphonic structure and inventive richness, this concert anticipates the radiant season of the last and metaphysical Mozart, to which both the Overture from Don Giovanni and the Prague Symphony – which owes its title to the place where it was first performed – can be linked.
Mozart (like Carniarmonie this year) often paid homage to the Czechs for their musical sensitivity and the positive reception they always gave to the Salzburg genius.
