We will begin with Darius Milhaud’s masterpiece Scaramouche, a French composer from the 20th-century, known for his lively and innovative style, and one of the members of the Groupe des Six. We will continue with Gershwin, who blends jazz and classical music in his Three Preludes and ignites with the Cuban Overture, rich in Afro-Cuban rhythms and exotic colors inspired by a journey to the Caribbean island. Finally, the piano duo of sisters Anastasia and Liubov Gromoglasova will delight us with the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein, one of the most influential composers of the 20th century.
The sisters, born in Moscow and trained at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, won numerous international prizes and they regularly collaborate with festivals and musical institutions in Italy and Russia. Their passion for both classical and contemporary repertoires makes them highly talented and versatile performers.

Parish Church of Santa Maria di Gorto
Situated on a rocky spur is the parish church of Santa Maria di Gorto, one of the oldest buildings of Friuli. The church is mentioned in documents in 1136 and 1299, but its origins would seem to be even older. This was demonstrated by the discovery of sculptural elements that can be attributed to a religious site dating back to the 8th century. The parish church stands as a basilica with three aisles and preserves valuable and rare relics like the frescoes of the 12th-13th century, depicting the Gospel parable of the ten virgins. A short distance from the parish church is the environmental tourist complex of Aplis, with the Museum of Wood and the Venetian Sawmill, a wildlife exhibition, a hotel and a restaurant, the perfect refreshment spot.
