DUO SCUDELLER MARTÌNEZ

The young Italian-Spanish duo formed by Elisa Scudeller and Miquel Esquinas Martínez have chosen to refine their skills at the Fondazione Bon in advanced courses for chamber music under the guidance of Prof. Federica Repini. Both, though very young, already boast a high-profile curriculum with numerous instrumental masterclasses featuring some of the most important names in international solo performance, chamber music, and orchestral performances in prestigious venues. The duo will interpret two pieces from the classical repertoire for this formation, as well as Francis Poulenc's Sonata for violin and piano composed between 1942 and 1943, dedicated to Federico Garcia Lorca, the poet killed during the Spanish Civil War. In these circumstances, even the ironic Poulenc acquires a tougher character with Spanish-flavoured tones, without losing his usual originality and compositional freshness.
