An original project that celebrates two giants of the American 20th-century, Gershwin and Bernstein, through contemporary reinterpretations by Marco Attura and Gianluca Piombo. Amidst jazz, musical, and operatic atmospheres, the performance passes through famous pieces like Summertime, Tonight, and Somewhere, presented in a new, elegant, and surprising way. A commission of the Pergolesi Spontini Festival that blends tradition and innovation, with arrangements that highlight the timbral nuances of two immortal repertoires.
A concert that is also a journey into the sound memory of the 20th century. In residence at the Pergolesi Spontini Festival, the Time Machine Ensemble is a group of young musicians born in the summer of 2019 from a selection of the best Italian talents, with the goal of creating projects dedicated to rediscovering great 20th-century composers or original concepts for performances focused on contemporary music. New production commissioned by the Pergolesi Spontini Festival.
Palazzo Veneziano
Malborghetto-Valbruna is a mountain town located a short distance from the Tarvisio ski facilities. It is an excellent starting point for hiking, trekking, walks, and snowshoe excursions. The cultural sites of greatest interest include the sixteenth-century Palazzo Veneziano that houses the Ethnographic Museum, where history, environmental curiosities, and regional traditions are recounted in a rich, accurately set up path. Opposite the palace, there is the church of the Visitazione di Maria e Sant’Antonio dating back to the 13th century. It became a parish church in 1484 at the wish of the bishop of Bamberg, in order to reunite all the villages of German origin into a single chaplainship. The current construction probably dates back to around 1560 but underwent various alterations and subsequent restorations.
