It is called Lyra, like the luminous constellation, like the ancient instrument that accompanies the poetic word. This project was released by the label Artesuono of Stefano Amerio, and it was born from a deep dialogue between music and poetry, between language and sound, between silence and listening.
A sonic ritual that intertwines Pasolini's Friulian lyrics, the popular Cjants of his land, and, for this special occasion, pieces inspired by Pierluigi Cappello's poetry. This kind of music gives life to new musical forms resulting from the encounter between Lieder tradition, folk music, and contemporaneity, relying on improvisation as an act of revelation, where every note and every word happen for the first time, in a suspended space.
Lyra is a poetic journey, an offering, a shared listening.
It is sound that is born and returns to silence, language that reinvents itself in mystery, collective body that breathes together. A celebration of the living word, of Pasolini’s thought, and of the deep sense of belonging that "minor" languages hold.
