An unusual ensemble for the combination of instruments, but very engaging in terms of sound possibilities, formed by musicians from our region who are studying at the Fondazione Luigi Bon in advanced courses for chamber music with prof. Federica Repini.
The program focuses on recently composed music that alternates polyrhythms with captivating melodies close to our contemporary experience. A masterful transcription of the most famous themes from Bizet's Carmen is also included.
Peterson, Vang, and Liebermann are respectively an internationally renowned saxophonist, flutist, and pianist, but also composers who have managed to blend different musical genres from classical to pop with undeniable mastery.
Parish Church of Santa Maria Maddalena
Invillino is one of the oldest villages in Carnia, the only hamlet in the municipality of Villa Santina. On the hill, Col Santino, stands the parish church of Santa Maria Maddalena, among the oldest in the archdiocese of Udine. The present church, with a Romanesque style, dates from the 15th century and is believed to be the work of master Stefano of the late Simone of Mena, a carpenter from Venzone. Inside of the church, there is a wooden polyptych by Domenico from Tolmezzo, Friuli's greatest 15th-century carver. The town of Villa Santina is also renowned for the production of distinctive linen textiles, carpets and tapestries.
