The ensemble in residence at Carniarmonie, the Indaco Quartet, will join the regional orchestral formation this evening, bringing its own chamber music vision to the interpretation of timeless Russian works. Rudolf Barshai transcribed Shostakovich’s string quartet for string orchestra, dense pages full of anguish that were inspired by a commission from the Soviet state, dedicated “to the victims of fascism and war.”
Tchaikovsky says: “I composed the Serenade from an inner impulse, and in it, I poured abundant fervent feelings, hoping that it would be artistically valid. As always, in the passages that turned out best, I thought of her... in those musical episodes that spring directly from my heart, where I am overwhelmed by inspiration, I just think of her, with the intimate conviction that no one could understand me better.”

Paluzza is a renowned holiday resort, featuring a cross-country ski track system, ideal for walks and other sports activities during the summer months. The various routes stretch through both open grassy areas and dense, picturesque fir forests. Above the town once stood a defensive structure known as Castrum Muscardum. Today, only the Moscarda tower remains, built around the mid-1200s. It currently houses exhibitions related to the area, spread across three rooms, arranged vertically and connected by an internal staircase.
