With this concert, Ensemble Lumière aims to pay tribute to the most representative Argentine composers of the 20th century, from Ginastera to Piazzolla, tracing the artistic path that links these two great composers with authors such as Exposito, Pugliese, Gomez, and Demare.
Here converge all various cultural influences as well as the group’s instrumental and creative skills, with the sensual timbral blend of flute and bandoneon, which repeatedly challenge each other with intricate and refined percussive effects. At the foundation of the milonga, the technique of counterpoint and the inimitable freshness of impressionism merge in a virtuosic tension that brings out the many facets of Argentine music to the fullest.
Palazzo Veneziano
Malborghetto-Valbruna is a mountain town located a short distance from the Tarvisio ski facilities. It is an excellent starting point for hiking, trekking, walks, and snowshoe excursions. The cultural sites of greatest interest include the sixteenth-century Palazzo Veneziano that houses the Ethnographic Museum, where history, environmental curiosities, and regional traditions are recounted in a rich, accurately set up path. Opposite the palace, there is the church of the Visitazione di Maria e Sant’Antonio dating back to the 13th century. It became a parish church in 1484 at the wish of the bishop of Bamberg, in order to reunite all the villages of German origin into a single chaplainship. The current construction probably dates back to around 1560 but underwent various alterations and subsequent restorations.
