Church of Santa Giuliana

Enemonzo - Fresis

Built in the 15th century, the church of Santa Giuliana in Fresis hosts a wonderful, complex cycle of frescoes in the old choir, the work of Giulio Urbanis (1588) from San Daniele. Fathers and doctors of the church, prophets and evangelists are depicted in the vault, while the walls display the doctrine of the apostles, sacred scenes and figures of saints. The main altar dates back to 1624 and is made of engraved, painted, and gilded wood. Saint John the Baptist, the Madonna and Child, and Saint Juliana are painted in the three niches.
